My Obession Grows...

Don't ask what it is, because I don't quite know myself, but I have a huge thing for Lil' Wayne a.k.a. Lil' Weezy... and when I say huge, I mean HUGE. I saw him in concert back in December and the obsession has been rapidly growing ever since- The fact that he can actually play an instrument and is coming out with a rock album makes him all the more in my eyes... Oh Lil' Weezy, how I luf thee <3

And right hurrr, Lil' Weezy's new song "Prom Queen" (currently blaring through the floor I live on) the HD version is MUCH better (had no embed option):

Ps- Random fact, Lil Wayne got his grills cause he loves candy so much and didn't want cavities! hahahaha, omg, I am Obsessed...

My (apparent) Life Symbol

I thought this fit pretty well with me, considering it was determined from a dinky facebook quiz!

Peace-sign1_profile

You are the Peace Sign, the friendliest of all the symbols. You try and get along with everyone and most of the time, you succeed. You love colors and circular shapes. Bringing joy to everyone in the world is your goal, along with ending world hunger, war, and making world peace. You work hard for what you get and deserve it. Don't give up with your plans. =)

Thinking about Bob...

“Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality . Wake Up and Live!” - Bob Marley

12 days...

Been a while since I posted last... don't really have an excuse either other than trying to get outside in the sunshine as much as possible before the duties of full-time work bring me back indoors-
Anywho, the past 12 days have been exciting and adventurous despite my vacant day-time schedule. I've been feverishly applying to various jobs while trying to restrain myself from spending money I don't have... I know there's quite a bit of people right now trying to secure work for the summer and that it can be very difficult living in Toronto and trying not to spend money, SO, here are a few of my favourite things to do that won't cost you a penny:

This site offers amazing *free* daily yoga classes for all levels and really helps to align your body and mind as one. I've been doing a class daily and have already noticed a huge change in my posture, body tone and outlook. Even better is the fact that you can do it in the privacy of your home if you're one who's not comfortable with practiving in a formal class ;)

- City Cycling!
I know it can be a bit nerve-wracking biking the streets of Toronto if you've never done it before, but in all honesty, the majority of streets have marked off bike lanes and as long as you're alert and aware while biking, it's really safe! The prettiest places to visit this time of year are High Park (the cherry blossoms are in bloom right now so snap to it!), the Beaches, Toronto Island and the Annex/Kensington (personal bias). Not only is this another no-cost option, you'll also get to see the city from a different point of view AND feel good doing it!

- Art Exhibits
You'd be surprised (or at least I was) at how many galleries host open houses on a week to week basis; great opportunity to get out there and indulge your artistic senses and appreciate what Torono artists have to offer.

- Fresh Produce Markets
Okay, okay, so this one does cost a BIT of money, but if you shop in Good 'Ol China Town, I guarantee the prices will be unmatched! It's a great place to pick up unique produce and try your hand at cooking up some funky dishes!

That's all I can think of at the moment and I'm itching to get out on my bike myself so I'm going to cut this short.
If you want some more ideas, there's an amazing (and free) book just released called:
"Guide to Eating, Drinking, Shopping and Some Other Stuff in Toronto"
It offers in-depth maps of every area of the city with some of the coolest things to get up to while in each area. I picked up my copy at "Adrenaline Tattoo Shop" on Queen St. West, I highly recommend you grab one too, or check out this site:

They're great resources :)
